US Select GCH Tanbark-DeRousse-Hillside Deck the Hall v Chablis aka Jack, attained his Grand Champion title at the National Pre-Show under Mr. Butch Stiefferman and a few days later went Select under Mr. Lew Bunch.
This is my first homebred Select, the other proud breeders are Tiffany Bartley, Judy DeRousse and Donna Calabrese. Jack owns Bill and Kerstin Coke and his most important role in life is being Kerstin 's emotional support dog after she suffered a near fatal car accident a few years ago.
Jack's breeding is 2x Am Sel Exc GCH/Can Sel Ch Woodside 's High Voltage, Rom, CHIC and Ch Tanbark's 2Much Bling Joelle Aramist.
We are all so very proud of Jack!

Gero, Ali and I went to play at our National Specialty the second week of October. Gero showed in Rally Advanced and Excellent all three days, placing in every class. We won High Combined on Wednesday and tied on Thursday losing the run-off by two seconds! He was High Scoring Rally Dog with a Tracking Title on Friday. Friday was a busy day, along with our Rally runs; I showed Ali in Veterans where she was the oldest dog in the class at eleven years young, and won the class with a 197.
Last but not least I showed Ali and Gero in Brace…probably my most memorable moment of the whole week! We had so much fun and placed First with an exciting Recall and Finish!!
CONGRATULATIONS
Becky James is proud of her kids. Stoick earned his Schutzhund BH (basic obedience and temperament test) and Trinity earned her Rally Excellent title.

Heartland Police K9 Training and Trials
The German Shepherd Dog Club of Greater Kansas City was recognized for partnering with the Heartland Police Canine Training and Trials held on October 21st. The club provided a generous contribution to the NPCA from funds raised at the annual Topeka Wine Pull. Volunteers from the club made this possible.
Thanks to all that helped with this worthy community service effort. The officers appreciate our continued sponsorship.

Becky James joined the club in August of 2016. Becky lives in Amsterdam, Missouri and travels one hour and fifteen minutes one-way to attend our club meetings. She is very active with her dogs and loves the breed.
Trinity was a birthday present from my parents. They own Trinity’s dad and let me pick a puppy from a breeding they did to a sable working line female. My life changed the minute I brought her home July 1, 2012. I went to puppy classes then found an IPO Schutzhund club. After showing and health testing I decided to breed Trinity. I now am the proud owner of 2 of her sons and a daughter.
I've been training and showing in AKC and USCA for the last 5 years. My dogs do obedience, tracking, rally and IPO protection. My goal is to achieve my IPO 1 with Stoick, Trinity’s son. I currently have 5 dogs Trinity, her sons Stoick and Squirrel, her daughter Freya and Miss Red who came from a friend in Iowa.
Trinity, Stoick and now Freya are in training. All will be showing next year.
